Non-contact measurement of static deformations

    Using holographic data obtained from The double-exposure hologram of the plate having three clamùped corners presented on the first page was obtained by one of the students, during laboratory hours. The state of strain and stress can then be examined, using basic elasticity and strength of materials relations.
 

 
Further on, displacement values obtained by holography may lead to material properties identification, by inverse finite-element methods
